Festivals are always a good way to ply the fortune-teller's trade. When Aishe heard of the coming dedication ceremony in Sandpoint, for a new church built after the old chapel had burned to the ground, she had immediately set to convincing the group to head there. And so it was that on a bright and sunny morning they rolled into town, setting up shop in the main square and soon attracting a large crowd of nosy residents. Just the way Aishe liked it.

Their first "client" was the richest-looking man Aishe could spot in the crowd, she brought him forth by pointing and saying she felt strong psychic vibrations coming from him. VV kept back behind a small curtain as Aishe brought the man into the small wagon, the usual practice so that she could use her magic to fool their "clients" into believing the tall tales told by Aishe. Yoo stayed outside to keep the crowd interested while Balthazar kept close in case things went south.

Predictably, the wealthy nobleman was worried about who he could cheat on his wife with. In this case it was with some rusty Dragon, VV wasn't listening very closely, and Aishe carefully got a good twenty gold pieces from the rube before setting him straight. She implied that his initial ten gold might not be enough to satisfy the spirits angry with the man, which was demonstrated by VV lifting a gold piece into the air when he had put down the full twenty. Meanwhile, outside the wagon the man's angry wife could be heard loudly searching for him, but with a short burst of ukelele she stopped and became fascinated instead by Yoo's hypnotic music. Back inside, Aishe told the man that the spirits were strongly against his plans for an affair, and soon had the man backing out of the wagon's small entrance with the promise that his luck would soon turn for the better if he went home with his wife. Aishe handed the bag of gold to VV, several times what they had expected to make in a week, while VV whispered that she should have just let the man go have his fun away from his shrew of a wife.

Aishe was about to go pull in their next patron when a stern knocking came at the door. She looked outside in time to see a tough armor-wearing woman just coming inside, brashly demanding to know if any evil Chelaxians were about. VV didn't answer, a bit cowed by this fearsome lady knight, while Aishe kindly noted that there were probably many Chelaxians nearby, seeing as most humans not of the native Shoanti or Varisian tribes would identify as Chelaxian. The woman seemed a bit mollified by this, and explained that she had been worried the new arrivals might be spies from Korvosa in the east. Aishe replied honestly, saying that they were merely wandering fortune tellers, with VV chiming in that they were respectable business people as she sidled out of the cart.

Seeing the chance to make a strong ally in the town, Aishe offered to cast a powerful spell of prediction for the woman, something she did rarely as it took much time and effort. The woman agreed, introducing herself as Kaiya, a fully ordained paladin in service to the Knights of Ozem. Her unit had been sailing for Magnimar to support its people against Korvosa, a city much more connected with the evil kingdom of Cheliax far to the south. Along the way a bird had stolen their sextant right from the hands of their navigator, leaving them unable to set a true course. Thus did they end up in Sandpoint, where they had been aiding the local populace with any number of difficulties for several months. Their mission was to thwart evil spies from Cheliax, to protect the local Erastil-faithful populace from the war-like Shoanti, and finally to confirm or deny rumors that their was some evil force trying to free someone named Tar-Baphon from his prison. Confirming that Kaiya mainly wished to know the success of this mission, Aishe nodded, promising to come find the paladin when her spell had completed. The paladin paid Aishe a gold piece, a bit cheap perhaps for a true fortune telling.
Prologue done, time to adventure! But first, it's a festival! And that means our band of fortune-telling magicians spend some time telling, well, fortunes. The first one was pretty easy, and boy did it pay well! Then we met the paladin Kaiya, who hates the evil Chelaxian empire and will also fight the local Shoanti if they give her any trouble. Let me tell you, VV got out of that situation right quick!

So here we have the adventures of our Pathfinder characters braving the Rise of the Runelords campaign. I've taken a bit more liberty with the writing this time, but it's still basically me and my friends playing this pre-written campaign, telling a story with our actions in-game. The preview picture, which I think best represents the characters of VV and Aishe, is
